MEET JOSH
Josh holds degrees from in both Physiotherapy and Anatomy
and human biology prior to joining the Enhance Physiotherapy team, and has
since completed post graduate qualifications in vestibular (vertigo/
dizziness), concussion TMJ (Jaw), shockwave therapy and the GLA:D program for
osteoarthritis management.
After gaining experience working within ICU, emergency
department, and stroke wards, Josh developed a special interest and passion for
vestibular physiotherapy. He is proficient in assessing, diagnosing, and
treating a range of different vestibular dysfunctions, including vertigo
(BPPV), vestibular hypofunction, concussion, Meniere’s disease, labyrinthitis/
neuronitis, cervicogenic dizziness (Neck related dizziness) and PPPD (chronic
dizziness).
Josh is enthusiastic about developing awareness around
vestibular physiotherapy and how physiotherapy can be an important part in
rehabilitating patients suffering with vestibular symptoms and returning to a
normal life.
With years of coaching AFL and
cricket as well as rehabilitating WACA premier grade cricketers, Josh also has
a keen interest in treating neck pain, knee pain, jaw pain and tendinopathies.
Josh is motivated to find the root cause of his patient’s pain whilst providing
an evidence-based treatment management plan to help his patients achieve their
specific goals. He is a firm advocate in treating a person holistically; not
just the injury, as patient education and empowerment is the best tool in his
kit!
Outside of physiotherapy, Josh enjoys playing WACA premier grade cricket, as well as fishing, discussing anything Star Wars related and catching up with his mates on the weekend.
