Why hands-on physio matters

Real results come from real treatment, not just a PDF of exercises. At Enhance Thornlie, our physios are trained to use skilled manual therapy, functional movement coaching and tailored programs that adapt as you improve. Every session has a purpose. If it’s not working, we change it.

A plan, not just a booking

We don’t do “see how it goes.” When you visit Enhance Thornlie, you’ll leave with a clear plan, not just a timeslot for next week. We track your progress, explain each stage, and adjust based on how your body responds. No guesswork. No fluff. Just proper physio.

FAQs

Do I need a doctor's referral to see a Thornlie physio?

No. You can book as a private patient without a referral. You only require a GP referral if you are seeking treatment under a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan, Workers’ Compensation, or DVA.

How does invoicing work for private health and Medicare?

We use HICAPS for on-the-spot claiming with major funds like HBF and Bupa. Medicare sessions are typically bulk billed or incur a small gap fee. Digital receipts are issued immediately for manual claims via your provider app.

What is your policy for rescheduling or cancelling an appointment?

Please provide at least four hours’ notice for any changes so we can offer your slot to another patient. For sudden illness or emergencies, contact our Thornlie clinic to discuss a potential fee waiver.

Can your Thornlie physiotherapists help with vertigo or jaw pain?

Yes. Our team includes clinicians trained in vestibular physiotherapy for vertigo and TMJ management for jaw issues. We also provide comprehensive post-operative rehabilitation for knee, hip, and shoulder surgery.

Do you provide physiotherapy for NDIS participants?

We support both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Our team delivers tailored physiotherapy and exercise physiology to help you meet functional goals. Please email your plan details to us prior to your first visit.

Can I visit the clinic just for sports taping or strapping?

Yes. We offer brief appointments for joint and ankle strapping to support you during training or games. We recommend calling ahead so we can fit you in between our scheduled clinical treatments.

What should I bring to my initial physiotherapy consultation?

Wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows easy assessment of the area. Please bring or email any recent imaging reports, such as X-rays or MRI scans. Our team can also request these directly from your radiology provider.
