A fitball class is a low impact exercise class that helps to build and enhance core strength, by balancing on the unstable surface of a fit ball.
The added challenge of balancing on a fit ball enables you to activate deep core muscles which will improve your core strength.

Benefits Include:
• Rehabilitation of current and old injuries. Particularly back injuries, but also many shoulder, neck and lower limb injuries.
• Decreased risk of new injuries or recurrent injuries through correction of muscle imbalances.

Hydrotherapy can be a highly effective method of regaining or improving movement, strength and balance following injury or surgery.
Movement within water removes the gravity load on the body which allows movement to occur with less chance of aggravating your injury.
The effect of buoyancy can assist the movement of a joint or limb and a moderate level of resistance can also be created from turbulence.

Many participants have had falls in the past and there is a heavy focus on balance retraining, strengthening, advice and education on ways to prevent falls in the future. All exercises are adjusted based on individual needs and small class sizes of up to 9 participants ensures everyone gets the attention they need and deserve. The main philosophy of this class is to get people moving, to allow them to get the most out of life!
