What It Helps With
We often use real-time ultrasound to help with:
- Back pain or recovery after injury
- Checking and retraining deep core muscles
- Pelvic floor issues
- Bladder control problems or leakage
- Rehab after pregnancy or pelvic surgery
How It Works
Using a small handheld ultrasound device, your physio can actually see how your deep stabilising muscles, like your core and pelvic floor, are working in real-time. This helps spot things like weak activation, poor coordination, or muscles that aren’t switching on when they should, which can affect how stable and in control you feel when you move. This helps us correct patterns and give you a clearer, more effective personalised plan.
Why It Matters
These muscles are hard to feel from the outside. Guesswork doesn’t cut it, especially after pain or injury. Real-time ultrasound shows exactly what’s happening so we can fix what’s not working, retrain your movement, and get you moving better, sooner.
